       历届学术年会,中国科学技术大学研究生院以及化学与材料科学学院均力邀相关专业的教授在年会开幕式做生动精彩的学术报告。与此同时,为集中展示化学与材料科学学院研究生对本专业问题的探索与研究成果,历届学术年会均设置了分会场报告环节,为参加学术年会的所有同学提供了一个展示和交流的大舞台,并为优秀论文报告的作者制作了成果展示墙报,对他们在学术科研工作中的努力进行表彰和奖励。在此期间,化学与材料科学学院研究生会的全体成员秉持“服务同学,我的责任”的理念,不断完善、提升年会活动内容与形式,为广大化学与材料科学相关专业的同学们搭建一个更规范、更精彩的展示自信与交流沟通的平台,感谢为年会项目努力付出的每一位化学与材料科学学院研究生会的成员,谢谢你们!

    We are delighted to welcome you to participate in the 2nd Graduate Symposium on Chemistry and Materials Science at USTC in Hefei, Anhui, 26-27 November 2016.
     The purpose of the Graduate Symposium is to share our experiences and knowledge in regard to the theory, frontier developments and researches on chemistry and materials science, as well as possible applications of them in solving practical problems. A lot of current issues have been discussed, and some of them have been effectively solved.

1会议交流形式:
       “中国科学技术大学第二届化学与材料科学研究生英文学术年会”将于2016年11月26日至27日举办,为期两天。
      本次年会主要分为大会报告和分会场报告两种形式,并制作展板对优秀的化学成果进行展览。
       本次学术年会设置分会场4个,分会场报告为我校在读研究生(博士研究生与硕士研究生)口头报告。

Weixue Li
Professor, Department of Chemical Physics, USTC.

Title
Activity and Stability of Supported Nano Catalysts from First-Principles


Research Interest:
Theoretical and Computational Catalysis.

  With rapid expansion of massive supercomputer centers, accurate algorithm based on first-principles theory integrated further with multiscale approach available, theoretical and computational design of nanomaterials with desired properties become possible for the first time. Professor Weixue Li has been engaged in this research area for about 20 years, particularly relative to fundamental understanding of catalytic reactions on a variety of materials at nanoscale. He developed the general theory for describing the sintering kinetics and disintegration of supported nanoparticles under realistic conditions, and explored deeply the influence of interface and crystal phase of nanocatalysts on catalytic reactionssuch as Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, CO oxidation.
     Up till now, Prof. Weixue Li has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers. Among those 18 papers have been published in the high impact journals, including 1 paper in Science, 5 papers in J. Am. Chem. Soc., 3 papers in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., 6 papers in Phys. Rev. Lett., 1 paper in PNAS, Nano Lett.

Title
Mixed Transition Metal Oxide Micro-/Nano-structures: Controlled Synthesis and Energy Related Applications


Research Interests
Aiming to build high performance energy storage and conversion devices.
   our research group will try to explore the environmental friendly, mild, cost-effective and scalable chemical synthesis methods to manipulate the size, morphology and structure controllable synthesis of unique micro-/nano-structures for functional materials focusing on multi-component transition metal compounds and their complex hybrid nanostructures, as well as the transition metal compounds/nanocarbon hybrid structures.
     Till now, Dr. Zhang has published 42 scientific papers in high profile journals including Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Nano Lett., etc. with total citations more than 3000 times and H-index factor of 29. In May of 2016, Dr. Zhang joined Department of Materials Science and Engineering in USTC with support of “Thousand Youth Talent Plan” and launched independent research group focusing on energy nanomaterials (website: http://zhanglab.ustc.edu.cn/)

A Solid Future of Energy Storage: Novel Solid Electrolytes for Next-Generation Li Batteries



Research Interest:
1.Structure-property relationship of materials in critical energy technologies, including:
¨Energy-storage devices beyond Li-ion batteries.and Piezoelectric energy harvesting.
2. Inorganic materials synthesis.
3.Advanced transmission electron microscopy (TEM):
Aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM).and In-situ (S)TEM techniques.
